Washington State Vacations #1:
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, in Eatonville, is a best Washington vacation spot....see North American animals roaming free in a natural habitat setting. You can take a guided tram tour through the 400 plus acres that is home to moose, bison, elk, caribou, mountain goat and bighorn sheep. Another area that houses predatory animals such as wolves, grizzly bears, black bears, cougars, lynx and bobcats. You can walk here and observe the animals from the safety of a separating moat.

Washington State Vacations Idea #2:
The Grand Coulee Dam is a unique vacation spot....it's one of the largest concrete structures in the world. There are guided tours but you can also explore on your own.

The visitor center features 4 different short movies about the dam as well as various exhibits. At night there is a narrated laser light display on the dam itself. Check out the powerhouses or take a glass-enclosed elevator ride down the face of the dam.

Vacation Spot in Washington State #3:
Enjoy a ferry ride on Puget Sound, home of the largest ferry fleet in the world. The ferry system travels to 20 different ports of call from Tacoma, Washington to Sidney, British Columbia. It's a great way to see the incredible natural beauty of the greater Puget Sound area and the Great Northwest coast.

Here are a few fun family friendly activities that you can enjoy if you decide to travel to the Olympia area of Washington.

The Hand’s on Children’s Museum, in Olympia is a great place to take the kids. There are over 55 interactive exhibits plus several hundred hands-on things to do. This is a great way to stimulate children’s natural curiosity interest in learning new things.

Olympia is the state capital and the buildings here are magnificent. Take the family on a free tour of the Legislative Building. See the State reception Room, the official offices, the Rotunda and the Legislative Chambers where the laws are made.

At the Olympic Flight Museum the kids can get up close to real vintage aircraft like the F4F Wildcat and the Huey helicopter. There are also scale model airplanes and lots of aviation exhibits.

The kids will love playing in the 47 dancing water spouts at the Heritage Park Fountain. Admission is free.

The Percival Landing Waterfront Park & Boardwalk has an Observation Tower that’s fun to climb, farmer’s Market and a mile long boardwalk along Budd Inlet.

Priest Point Park is a 300 acre forested area with a sailing ship-inspired playground. The park has nice hiking trails, picnic areas and panoramic views of the water.

For a great fishing vacation you can't go wrong with San Juan Island sitting in the middle of Puget Sound beckoning all who wish to relax in her tranquil beauty. With a vast abundance of wildlife and plants this is a perfect place for fishing, hiking, bicycling and whale watching. Spend some rejuvenating time at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort....a Washington coast resort located in the Olympic National Park. Professional massage therapists are available to loosen up any muscles that are still tense.

Vacation Ideas in Washington State #7:
Take a tour of the Boeing Everett Factory the world's biggest building…it's used to build the Boeing 747, 767 and 777 wide body planes. Watch a plane go through the full construction cycle on a time-lapse video. The balcony gives you a bird's eye view of the planes as they are being built. There is the Museum of Flight and Boeing's very first plane, the B&W.
