We have wanted to go for a while as Shimla is quite the popular vacation spot. It was very hot on the way till the hills started. Then we got some respite from the hot climate. Upon reaching Shimla the weather became really romantic with cool breeze blowing around and a light rain. The weather made me forget my exhaustion after such a long drive. We lodged at a hotel which was reasonable and for next day we explored the city shopping, eating and enjoying our time together. There was this mall road on which many shops for eatables, clothes, etc were located. In the evenings we usually spent our time on the Ridge while enjoying the pleasant sunset. The Ridge is very pleasant place to relax in beautiful scenic surroundings. The scenic beauty of the city is just speechless. Shimla is the place to be if you are planning to take a break from your regular job and enjoy some time with your soul mate. The trip really refreshed me from within and I felt very lively when I came back from the short vacation. The first day was solely pure relaxation, resting on hammocks and sipping on juice, like the Coronoa commercial, and the sound of the waves crashing wasn't of bother at all. The markets there offered fresh fruits and an abundance of greens, street market vendors, very different. The majority of our vacation was spent just relaxing in the sun, if you look at pictures of the Maldives, it will make anyone want to go an in instant. This made me realize how beautiful the world can be, in some parts, that is. If anyone has a chance, I highly recommend it. It was really a wonderful and memorable vacation of ours in Manali. Moreover, the cold weather in Manali in the month of December made the trip even more romantic with the snow all around ! Manali has everything to offer to all kind of tourists. Whether one is interested in adventure, hill-station tour, water sports, pilgrimage, natural scenic beauty, peace and serenity or just relaxation, Manali is an ideal holiday spot for everyone. Manali is also called as the “valley of Gods” and there are a number of temples here which are all treated as pilgrims for Hindus. Manali is a hill station surrounded by the snow-clad mountains of Himalayas that makes this place even more beautiful and attractive and the climate is also quite cool out here. There are a lot of places to visit in Manali like Rohtang pass, Solangnala valley, Naggar Fort, Rahla waterfalls etc. Rohtang Pass and Solangnala valley are always covered with snow throughout the year and there are a lot of sports like skiing, mountain biking etc that one can enjoy here. We really had a great time in Rohtang pass! There are other activities too like rock climbing, para-gliding, white water rafting, trekking etc that you can enjoy in Manali. Naggar Fort is also very famous in Manali for its rock and stone cravings. We really had a great time in Manali on our first wedding anniversary and I would recommend this place to everyone for spending their vacations! We booked a large traveling bus to accommodate everyone so that the fun would be more. We went to the Caves and had a wonderful time looking at the antiques and the architecture. We went to a another place a shrine kind of called as Bibi Ka Maqbara, it is a replica of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. It is beautifully carved and a peaceful place. After that, we went to a unique place, a wonder of its own called as Panchakki. This place is a God made wonder as it has water following through it without any source and the chakki moves with the flow of water. It’s an amazing place, serene. We bought different articles from all these places they are unique for. At the end we just traveled the area taking into us the beautiful aura of that place. On our return back home, we chose the train again and from that we enjoyed all the beautiful landscapes, farms that came in our way. It was a family holiday, where we all had fun, enjoyed to our fullest and bought with us long lasting memories.
