The later was for a Birthday present; Sanibel also had wonderful weather and pristine beaches. It has plenty of geckos, as Florida always has and great restaurants and shopping places.

At one place, I and my family got this giant seafood platter, it was ridiculously delicious- not to mention a buffet in the area had all you can eat lobster, simply decadent. Anyway, I loved my trip to Sanibel, and it will always be memorable as the best vacation I have had so far.

The shows and casinos are unlike anything else you will find and the deals and packages that are available actually can make this a fairly affordable trip. As for children, the countless magic shows and arcades can make any kid feel in heaven! There are also some great scenic attractions like driving less than an hour to the Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam.

Horseback riding, ATV adventures, helicopter tours, and even zip lining through the canyons are just a few of these exciting adventures! There really is something for everyone! Las Vegas is the best vacation in the USA IMO.

They have a superb gift shop filled with all sorts of fun garden and home accessories and a fantastic selection of plants as well as pots and statues. The cafe is wonderful for an afternoon tea. Soups, salads & sandwiches to fill your belly! We also like to visit The Chocolate Bar in Rice Village. It's exactly what you would expect from the name. A store full of chocolate novelties, candy, cakes & ice cream. There are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your purchases and lots of unique goodies to try.

Another place to check out is The Galleria in Houston. The Galleria is a huge mall with many name brand stores, Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, Fendi, Apple, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo and many other (less expensive) stores. Even if those stores are out of your price range, it's an experience just to browse. The ice skating rink is a lot of fun, even if you're just watching.

Our favorite store has got to be Dylan's Candy Bar, the largest candy store in Texas! Full of bulk and prepackaged candy as well as plenty of novelty items, this is not a store to go into with an empty stomach! The allure of Houston is the sheer volume of shops to explore.

If you can think it, you're sure to find it close by. Catch a Houston Astros game, get some shopping in at one of the malls or indulge in a delicious dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants all around and in the city, both chains and locally owned.

If you want to do something educational to combat the summer brain drain, check out a museum. Science, Children, Fine Arts, Health, Contemporary Art, Holocaust or the Zoo, there are plenty of places for you to get out of the heat and enrich your mind. Something for everyone in your family!

You can visit Mt. Rushmore and see our founding fathers carved in stone as well as learn a little bit about American history. There are several caves you can visit such as the beautiful Wind Cave and Rainbow Falls. You can drive to a place called "Cosmos" where gravity doesn't seem to exist as it does everywhere else. At Cosmos water flows upward, the trees grow sideways. Crazy Horse, an Indian carved into stone is another wonderful attraction. While you are in the area you can take a drive to Sturgis, where once a year there is a massive gathering for bikers and motorcycle fanatics.

My favorite place to visit in South Dakota is The Badlands National Park. The Badlands are thousands of acres of land, formed millions of years ago, of hills and valleys. The Badlands are beautiful and breathtaking. There are many other reasons to visit South Dakota so I recommend everyone take a trip and enjoy what there is to offer.

In Surfside you can drive your car up and down the beach. I like to stay at The Cedar Sands Motel. It is right on the beach and has nice kitchenette units. You can walk to the water to have fun splashing in the Gulf or throw in a line for some great surf fishing. Just a short walk on down the beach is a wonderful rock jetty where I have caught many large, yummy fish such as trout and sheephead. One place you won't want to miss is dining at Kitty's Purple Cow restaurant. It is all decorated with all sorts of purple cow figurines and paintings along with great food at a reasonable price.

Brannan Realty is, also, located in the Village of Surfside on Bluewater Highway and if you want more than a motel room you can rent beautiful fully equipped 3 or 4 bedroom beach house by the day, week or month. It is a real treat to visit this best kept secret unique village on the Texas Gulf.
