After I arrived in Singapore, I was met with a warm welcome by my friend and her family. We did a lot of fun things while I was there, but there are a few that things that stand out during my adventure. I really enjoyed the mall because of the great food. You can buy fresh sugar can juice which tastes subtle and sweet; it is so refreshing. It is also a healthy option. The smoothie display has brightly colored fresh fruit and the smoothies are great. I enjoyed a great sushi restaurant. As you sat at the sushi bar, the sushi would ride past you on a conveyor belt and you would pick up the yummy sushi that you want to enjoy. Although the sushi is small, you become full pretty quickly! The breakfast is more savory there compared to the states, but this gives you a great start to your day. Another drink to try is Bubble Tea. It is very unique. I have had bubble tea a lot of places, but Singapore has the best in my opinion! A visit to Sentosa Island is a must when you vacation in Singapore. It is a small island that you can get to by a cable car. It is really beautiful! Be sure to bring your camera because you can take some very pretty pictures from the cable car. Singapore is such a fun vacation idea. After 3 and half hours of flight journey I reached Singapore and landed in their mesmerizing airport, Changi. The airport really impressed me because of its illumination and it was so tidy and organized and one look at the airport gave me a clue that it was going to be a great vacation for me. Then we traveled from the airport to the Hotel where we were going to spend rest of our vacation in Singapore, The YMCA. The cab ride was smooth and I should have to say that the infrastructure was greatly planned out by the Singapore government. Nice roads, organized traffic. I was not able to see a litter in the road, really wondered how they maintain the place that way. We reached our Hotel within 30 minutes of cab drive from the airport. We checked into the hotel at the exact time. YMCA, I should say it was not one of those big hotels but it was a cozy one. Nice lightings, comfortable beds, good room service, free breakfast and most importantly the location of the hotel on top of the hills really attracted me very much. It was perfect for me in all ways. After our simple but delicious breakfast was done, we relaxed for sometime in our room and straight away headed to Orchard, the place known for its brand name shopping. I loved those rich shopping centers like Center point, Takashimaya and after a 2 hour intense shopping we went to Sentosa Island, a popular Island resort. It was a pleasing and pleasant bus drive to a place near the airport from where we took a winch to reach the Island. Sentosa Island is an awesome piece of land that had all entertainment activities you can think of. Their attractions include two golf courses and five star hotels, long beach. The thing that attracted me about Sentosa is their new theme park Universal Studios. I should say Sentosa Island made me feel that I was in a different world completely away from the residential areas of Singapore. I stayed at the Beaufort Sentosa Resort and Spa and I really loved it very much. The visit to the Sentosa Island was the one I enjoyed most during my entire vacation in Singapore. I came back to the hotel room that night after a fun filled day and straight away hit the bed as I was immensely tired of all the playing. I was really excited about what more could my vacation in Singapore offer me. On the whole, this vacation was a perfect vacation idea for me.
