The village has restaurants that serve the tourists brought across the bay by boat. There are over 120 small islands in the bay as well as many wonderful beautiful and deserted beaches which are accessible only by water. The bay’s islands also hold a large number of caverns. These caves make for an exciting exploration trip. The way to explore them is in a guided two-passenger kayak. The openings to the caves are small so you must lie down in the kayak to fit through. But once inside the caverns open into hongs which are isolated island lagoons. The hongs are open to the sky and each one is a unique secluded little slice of tropical paradise. The camp is dedicated to preserving the traditional way of life of the Thai farmer and the buffalo. You can watch as the buffaloes are trained to receive commands. See demonstrations of skill and dexterity as handlers mount and dismount the animals. Visit a traditional Thai farmhouse and take a ride on a buffalo. This is a great way to experience traditional Thai culture up close. Visit Chiang Mai Online for more Thailand destinations information from a local's point of view.
