Tourist Spots in London #1:
Contributed by Julie - London is an amazing place to visit. The history that is available to you while you’re just walking the streets is something that we just don’t see here in the U.S. Buckingham Palace, Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London are just of few of the sights that are easy to find and well worth the trip.

I also found a couple of off the beaten path sites that were very enjoyable as well. There is a room in the British Library that contains very old manuscripts that was just fascinating. I also discovered the Cabinet War Rooms. It is a bunker where Winston Churchill and many others stayed during World War II. It was very interesting to see how the government was essentially run from this bunker during the London Blitz. One of my favorite places was the restored Globe Theater. They have done such a fabulous job in recreating a theater from 16th century London and they give a great tour explaining how the theater system worked.

Walking across the Tower Bridge was a delight and we returned to the City via the new Millennium footbridge. Everywhere you turn you can see buildings dating back hundreds and hundreds of years all. Don't forget the famous squares: Trafalgar, Piccadilly, etc. Harrods Department Store is also something to see. It’s quite pricey but is a typical tourist destination. Use the bus system and the famous London tube. Both are wonderfully run and easy to use to navigate the city. I would go back to London in a heartbeat!

Talisha, Pa - Ghost Tour in London, England I had heard and read about this unusual tour about ghosts in London and I get interested and curious about it because it sounds a little weird. This ghost tour consists on a walk for some London streets and places that occult a lot of mystery secrets and past stories.

While the tourist guide get you trough this darkest and schemer places, he narrate the legends or facts that are behind each story. Spectral voices, lost screams or visual apparitions are some of the creepy things the story teller will emphasize in his narration or maybe you can experiment it by yourself. This ghost tour will seem so strange, but it is an unusual vacation spot that could be part of a travel to London. It is another way to know about the history or traditions of this country.

Some stories about macabre events and phenomenon issues will guide us trough the folklore and legends that form part of London society. I personally think it is an amazing vacation spot that everyone going to London should go. Remember is not made for too scary people.
