Things to do in Majorca #1:
The island of Majorca, Spain has many limestone caves but the Caves of Drach are probably the most visited by tourists. There are thousands of stalactites and stalagmites in these caves and they are both awesome and beautiful at the same time. Your guide will point out the various outstanding features as you walk along the paths. As you near the end of the tour, you enter a big cavern where there is a large lake on one side.

The guide will direct you and the other tourists to take a seat in the chairs that are adjacent to the lake. Then three small boats will appear from the shadows with oarsmen in each one.

They wear hooded black capes which creates an eerie sensation in the whole group. This feeling is calmed by the music which emanates from an electronic organ being played by one the oarsmen.

Many in the group will feel as though they are part of the cast of the phantom of the Opera. This is just a sample of why it would be good to include the Caves of Drach in your Majorca vacation ideas.

Things to do in Majorca #2:
Marineland on Majorca is a great attraction for tourists or visitors to the island. The best thing at this attraction is the dolphin and sea lion show. Who doesn’t like dolphins? They jump and turn so smoothly on cue. The sea lions, however, are somewhat lacking in this same gracefulness.

When you watch the whole show, you can easily get the feeling that you are in Sea World in the USA. The rest of the park includes a parrot show, penguins, stingrays and other creatures.

When you arrive at Marineland it is suggested that you go straight to the dolphin and sea lion show. This is a wonderful show but don’t get too close or you’ll get soaked with water. The parrot show is humorous and the birds are exceptionally beautiful.

You will really like the stingray tank where you can touch the little creatures and interact with them. Some people spend hours there. The pelicans are very friendly and occasionally you can pet them. Remember, Marineland has it's own beach so take a towel and swimsuit if you fancy a dip in the sea.

Things to do in Majorca #3:
The Western Water Park in Majorca, Spain is a nice place for families to visit. The park theme is the American Wild West and offers all the fun of a standard water park. There are a variety of water slides for everybody to enjoy. All the way from beginner to the more experienced visitor.

There’s a twin tube slide where two people can race with one in each tube. There are also slides with a wide width to allow sliding side be side. One of these is a tube and the other two are open. The "Crazy Racer" is probably the fastest and is designed for water slide experts. Be sure to try the Jacuzzi after the slides.

The park has a array of other attractions. The Oliver Water show is as exhibition of diving. There is a fun animal farm which includes a demonstration of falconry. The kids will enjoy the shows at the old Wild West town, the pony rides, train rides and, of course, the ice cream.

Things to do in Majorca #4:
The Palma Aquarium is high-tech with an excellent blend of local species of fish plus many from around the world. With several hundred species they undoubtedly have all of your favorites. Standard tanks, viewing tunnels and outdoor pools provide many vantage points for viewing and Marine Biologists carefully monitor the conditions of all of the resident creatures.

The showpiece of the aquarium is "Big Blue" which is the deepest aquarium tank in Europe. It has 3.5 million liters capacity and a transparent tunnel for stunning views of the manta rays, barracudas, and a couple of varieties of sharks and many others. The tank is placed below sea level to duplicate the natural ecosystem that the creatures live in.

The grounds of the aquarium are quite attractive with two lovely garden areas. These gardens have pomegranate, fig and olive trees plus open tanks of hammer head sharks, turtles and stingrays.

The kids will love the play area with a pirate ship and interactive pools with sea cucumbers, urchins and star fish. You will certainly enjoy everything about the Palma Aquarium.

Things to do in Majorca #5:
Some people call The House of Katmandu in Majorca Spain a weird and wonderful place. The general report from those who have been there is that it is a barrel of fun and well worth the ticket price. On first sight the building is a bit of a surprise. The whole front side is upside-down. But things do turn right-side up after you enter.

You will be exploring the discoveries and adventures of Kilgore Goode in his life of legends and the unexplained. Some of the things you will see and hear along your journey include a wonderful old organ, a virtual roller coaster ride and a water piano for kids.

You will also see, hear and feel a 4D movie cinema experience that includes several thrilling videos, special seating and special effects. Other unique things include a miniature golf course, a Timbuktu bar and grill and lots of strange and mysterious objects.

When you visit the House of Katmandu, remember this important suggestion. Be sure to take your time and read everything you see. That’s the way to have the most fun by understanding what you are seeing.
