Bermuda sits not far off the coast of North Carolina. It consists of some 150 small islands, seven larger islands and lots of pink sand beaches. There are lots of pink sand beaches plus protected parks and reserves that provide plenty of opportunities for couples to spend time with each other enjoying the stunning views and temperate climate.

Bermuda has long been an easily accessible and desireable destination for lovers. The photo to the right is a great example of the perfect blue waters along the shores of Bermuda.

Bora Bora Island - Couples looking for a real tropical paradise can find it at the tiny volcanic island of Bora Bora. Located in Tahiti, this is truly an exotic locale for that perfect romantic getaway.

It’s a low-key place with no nightlife and few restaurants but it makes up for this in atmosphere. Beach, snorkeling and relaxing are the main activities. Cuddle up in one of the overwater bungalows offered by resorts in Bora Bora such as the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort and Spa

The Greek island of Corfu is popular with couples due to the fact that it is considered one of the most beautiful islands anywhere. The forty mile long mountainous island is covered with olive trees and cypress groves cover the island. The towns have a flavor of several different European cultures.

Some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece are here on Corfu, about a dozen in all. Many have been turned into resorts. There are also many traditional villages, Byzantine churches, several museums.

Many of the beaches are accessible only by water. This makes them slightly more difficult to get to but also much less crowded. Caneel Bay is the favorite couples luxury resort.

With a secluded beach and snorkeling and diving right off shore, what more could you want? The Treehouse Bure sits thirty feet up in the branches of an almond tree. This is a popular place for honeymooners.

Palm Beach,, in the southern Caribbean island of Aruba, has a great cool climate and is out of the hurricane belt that afflicts much of the Caribbean. Palm Beach is the most popular and the most crowded but the smaller Boca Grande Beach gets much less traffic so couples looking to get away from the crowds would do better to head to Boca Grande. Near Palm Beach are all the large resorts where couples can find the nightlife. Casinos, nightclubs and shows are all available.

Los Christianos and Playa de las Americas are favorite resorts for a romantic getaway. They sit next to the yellow-sand beaches and have easy access to windsurfing, sailing, diving and waterskiing. There are plenty of popular beaches for you to explore such as Playa Jardin, El Bullolo and Las Teresitas.

Kapalua Beach, on the northwest coast of Maui, is a safe, beautiful, palm and coconut tree lined beach perfect for couples. It's situated on the bay so the water is calm, unlike many of the ocean beaches. The views are great with natural rocky peninsulas on the sides of the bay and the island of Molokai visible close by.

Kapalua Beach has long been a favorite for body and board surfing as well as swimming and snorkeling. "Snuba", which combines snorkeling and scuba, is a popular way to enjoy the colorful marine life off the shores of Maui.
