Any town that faces the ocean usually has chartered whale watching trips and Vallarta is no exception. There are at least eight charter businesses who can get you close enough to the whales for some good photo opportunities. So bring your binoculars and your free spirit on your next vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

Some of the same businesses also have facilities for rappelling. In this sport you typically scale a wall or other vertical surface and then rappel back to your starting point. The vertical surfaces are designed with foot and hand projections for safe climbing. Typically, there are wall designs for both beginners and for the experienced and there are safety ropes for the scale up the wall. You might also look into the ecology tours where you learn about the tropical rain forest that is never far away when you are in Puerto Vallarta.

There are several theaters in Vallarta with a wide variety of types of performances. Several of the larger hotels have their own stage shows. There are a couple of combination dinner theaters that are quite popular. The Santa Barbara Theater seems to be quite active during the fall and the Christmas season. Also, there are concerts by the Municipal Band, live music at many locations and a bit of Karaoke for the fun of it.

The area around Vallarta is as attractive to the eye as any other scenic area in Mexico. The track is designed to provide the beauty and ruggedness of the Mexican backcountry. The excitement is provided by the fact that the AT in ATV means you are not traveling on smooth macadam roads. You will travel by pleasant little backcountry towns and explore some of the Sierra Madre Mountains. An ATV tour just might be the most fun you’ve ever had.
