Places to Visit in Canada #1:
Hiking is a cheap way to enjoy an outdoor vacation. Canada has a coast-to-coast hiking trail called Trans-Canada Trail. It runs a good 10,000 miles from Victoria, British Columbia all the way to Saint Johns, Newfoundland and also up into the Northwest Territories. It’s the world’s longest recreational trail and besides hiking, it is used for horseback riding, cycling and other outdoor activities.

Hiking the Trans-Canada Trail can be a way to engage the family in an outdoor adventure together. Hiking is inexpensive, an excellent stress reliever and it is the top rated outdoor recreational sport in North America.

Canada has about ten percent of the world’s forest and the trail runs through the heart of it. Choose a section of the trail and plan hiking vacation in Canada.

Places to Visit in Canada #2:
Canada has some beaches that are worth visiting. Of course go during the warm summer months if you want to actually swim. Lake Huron, which is north of Toronto in Ontario, has Wasaga Beach on Georgian Bay. There are lots of campgrounds so you can enjoy the lake, beach and surrounding area on the cheap. You can rent a comfortable beach cottage, pitch a tent or hook up your RV.

Lake Huron also has Sauble Beach with good quality sand and warm clear water. Sauble Beach is popular for honeymooners and is also known as a windsurfer's paradise. Only 15 minutes away is the Bruce Trail which is great for both hiking and nature walks through the old forests and marshlands of Sauble.

By Mila, Canada - The province of Newfoundland in Canada is one of the friendliest and safest place in the world to visit. Lovely little fishing towns are scattered throughout.

It’s a place where everyone knows everyone, and don’t be surprised if total strangers waive and say hello. It was also the first place in North America where Europeans set foot. The Vikings visited the shores of the island and established a camp there well before Christopher Columbus set sail across the Atlantic.

There is now a park and historic site that recreates the daily lives of the vikings on the site of L‘Anse aux Meadows. Saint John, the capital, has a friendly and lively nightlife and bar scene But the best thing about visiting Newfoundland is the impression you get of being away from it all, somewhere near a corner of the earth.

Places to Visit in Canada #4:
One of the most popular tourist spots in Canada is Banff National Park & Jasper National Park. This is because of the truly spectacular scenery. This are part of the Rockies with alpine forests, glaciers, turquoise glacial lakes and wonderful wildlife such as grizzly bears, elk, big horn sheep, caribou and wolves.

You can camp out in the wilderness if you like a rough natural experience. Or you can stay in comfort in the town of Banff and the village of Lake Louise. For some help planning your vacation check out Brewster Vacations Canada. They've got loads of experience arranging personalized vacation in the Canadian Rockies. This is a great way to really enjoy all that this Canadian outdoor playground has to offer.

One of the prettiest villages in Canada has to be Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. This is also Canada's wine country with some 21 wineries in the area. Visitors come here for the scenery, the wine tasting tours and to shop in the many unique shops and boutiques of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The town is only a half-hour from Niagara Falls and is located in a very beautiful part of Canada. Niagara-on-the-Lake is known for its quality theater and many visitors come specifically for the Shaw Festival.

Three theaters, all within walking distance of each other, make up the group known as the Shaw Festival. There's the flagship Festival Theatre, the historic Courthouse Theatre and the Royal George Theatre. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a charming and historic vacation spot that is popular yet remains fairly unknown.
