Philippine Tourist Spots #1:
Boracay Island, Philippines - If you like to scuba dive, walk along perfectly white beaches and watch world class water events, than the perfect spot for you is the island of Boracay in the Philippines. The weather is excellent during the months of January. This is the time you will be able to watch the Asian Windsurfing Tour and the International Funboard Cup.

Boracay Island also boasts protected beaches fine powdery sand and lined with coconut trees. If you are lucky, when you stroll along Puka Beach, you may find on of the very rare Puka shells which are considered good luck. There are a number of villages on the island and they are connected trails. This is a good opportunity to explore the local culture.

You won’t want to forget your golf clubs either. The par 72, 18-hole gold course is world famous. There are numerous resorts, restaurants, and nightclubs that will fit any budget. Boracay has something for everyone and a trip there will be a memory to last a lifetime.

Bohol is one of the larger islands in the Philippines and it has a lot to offer the vacationer. From Manila it’s a short plane trip to the capital city, Tagbilaran. You land in a city that seems to be like any other city but looks are deceiving. There are many things to do and see in Bohol aside from enjoying the calm of the beach.

Choosing a very nice resort will make the trip even more memorable. Some resorts are exclusive so the white sand beaches are just for the guests and offer a very romantic getaway. The tours available are the Loboc river cruise, where you may eat lunch on the boat, while cruising up a river. A visit to the tarsiers, the smallest mammals in the world, is a must when you go to Bohol. And there is also the world famous Chocolate Hills, a geological wonder that is worth the land ride.

Aside from these land tours, there are lots of diving opportunities in Bohol. You may also visit the Bee farm that is a must for food lovers where they show you the ways of honey production and the natural products made from the honey.

A great vacation idea in the Philippines is Baguio City. You'll see a lot of Filipinos visiting this area in addition to all of the foreign tourists, especially during the summer time. It has a year round cool climate so a lot of people visit when it gets hot in other places. You'll see a lot of American culture here because there was an American military base here, Camp John Hay, which brought a lot of new residents to the area.

Now it is a great place to see the forest and has a beautiful golf course, nice hotel, and cool restaurants. Also check out Baguio City Cathedral, a beautiful old church on a hill. It’s easy to get to near Session Road which is the main commerce section with stores, restaurants, etc. This is where you want to visit during the evening for the food, bars, and night clubs.

The Butanes Islands are a group of small islands in the Philippines. This is an excellent vacation idea for the Philippines. You can visit the local fishing villages and experience the local culture. Enjoy the tropical locale without a lot of tourist crowding, no pollution and no traffic jams.

The landscape of the Butanes Islands is very scenic and photogenic with lots of hill, mountains, steep cliffs, rocky shorelines and deep canyons. The weather is typically cool and windy which is nice for a vacation. There are a number of very nice beaches like Nakaboang Beach, Chadpidan Beach and White Beach.

The Batanes are noted as a very safe vacation destination. Crime is practically unheard of. In fact the Batanes' Honesty Coffee Shop operates on an honor system.

Philippine Tourist Spots #5:
Palawan Island in the Philippines is a great vacation idea and has some of the best diving spots in the Philippines like El Nido Marine Park Reserve and Tubbataha Reef Marine Park. A popular attraction on Palawan Island is the St. Paul Subterranean National Park.

The park is famous for its beauty and the underground river that runs through a huge cavern and out to the sea. There are a number of high quality resorts on Palawan Island. Lagen Island Resort and the Miniloc Island Resort are two of the more popular. There are also cottages and camping sites available. A nice feature is the many foot trails that allow you to explore into the rain forest.
