Orlando Tourist Attractions #1:
By Susan from Illinois - A great place to visit in Orlando is Universal Studios. While there you must stay at one of their three resorts. I visited all three, but stayed at the Lowes Royal Pacific Resort. It is the cheaper of the three, but I felt like it was the most beautiful. There is a trail along the river from the hotel to the parks that is beautiful to walk on, lined with palm trees. It is also safe, being monitored by park security.

This hotel is decorated like the South Pacific Islands and the customer service went way beyond my expectations. At this resort you can lay by the pool or grab a chair on some sand by the small lake. There are stores and many restaurants.

I would recommend grabbing a sandwich or pizza at Jake's Bar and Grill. Or, if you would like a nicer meal with a great atmosphere you want to make a reservation at Emeril's Tchoup Chop.

Our room was large and continued with the South Seas decor by accenting with bamboo. You can get to the park by walking, a beautiful boat ride or a bus which is all part of your resort stay.

And another benefit by staying at any of the 3 Universal Studios resorts is that all resort guests get to go through a faster lane at attractions by showing their resort key card.

And if you have extra time on your stay I would recommend walking or taking the boat to the other resorts to take in their atmosphere or eat at one of their restaurants.

Orlando Tourist Attractions #2:
Take your Orlando vacation ideas to new heights with a visit to Fantasy of Flight. This is all about airplanes, glorious vintage airplanes from the past.

You can see over 40 vintage planes in what’s billed as the World’s Greatest Aircraft Collection. Many are legendary aircraft like the WWII B-26 Marauder, B-24 Liberator, P-51 Mustang and the B-17 Flying Fortress.

You can see the actual plane used in the famous movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Take a guided tour of the private runways and hangers. Watch aviation craftsman as they restore priceless antique planes.

Computer simulators will put you at the controls of a Corsair Fighter, take you up in a virtual air hot balloon or let you try a virtual hang gliding ride. Fantasy of Flight is located about a half hour south of Disney.

Orlando Tourist Attractions #3:
The Green Meadows Farm & Petting Zoo is a fun spot for the whole family, especially the younger kids. Petting and holding the animals is a big attraction but there’s more. You can have fun on a tractor-drawn hayride, ride a pony, milk a cow, ride the mini Express Train, and take a guided tour of the farm (geared towards specific age level of your children. Green Meadows Farm is located in Kissimmee which is in southern Orlando. They have over 300 different animals on the farm.

Orlando Tourist Attractions #4:
If you are vacationing in Orlando and want to experience an airboat ride, the closest spot is Boggy Creek West. You have to head to Central Florida Everglades which is in Kissimmee. A U.S. Coast Guard Captain will pilot your airboat into the swampy wilderness and guide you to the wildlife like alligators, turtles, birds and more.

It’s quite an adventure shooting across the top of the water through walls tall grass at 45mph. Private tours are available and you can also take the airboat out at night. Alligators have to be the ultimate Florida tourist attraction.

Orlando Tourist Attractions #5:
The town of Celebration is just south of Orlando and ten minutes from Disney. Celebration is a world famous tourist spot that is worth a trip to see. With picturesque views and stunning architecture, Celebration offers a beautiful place to stroll, shop and eat. There’s a main Promenade and around it is an impeccable array of fine restaurants, cafes and shops. Take in the lakeside fireworks display or enjoy the Exotic Car Festival.

Unique monthly events offer a variety of things to do when you visit. Some examples are the Art & Wine Stroll, the annual Spring Art Festival, the Great American Pie Festival and the Exotic Car Festival.
