Mexico Travel Spots Yucatan
by Christina
(Louisiana)
I recently came back from Yucatan, Mexico with my mom. The first week we were there, a cousin of ours showed us the Virgin beach in San Felipe.
First, we had to take a ride on a small motorboat. The guide took us to a swamp-like area much like the swamps at home in Louisiana.
We took a trail and saw animals that are not common in America, including a wild Iguana.
Then he took us back on the boat and dropped us off at the most beautiful beach we've ever seen.
There were no people there, the water was crystal clear, the beach sand was beautiful, the waves were calm, and the sky was sunny.
There were huts for people to sit under, and at one point we spotted an animal along the beach in the distance that looked like a giant rat, but it moved like a dog.
The only problem we had, was that our boat never came back for us!
We had to flag down a boat in the distance. It was fun. We picked up lots of nice shells and sand.
I would definitely do it again, but I would recommend a cell phone just in case.
