Ireland is a great spot for a quick getaway vacation. It is a relatively small island, and many of the areas can be seen in the course of a week.

One of the most important is, of course, Dublin, which is the center of population and activity for the island.

Starting a vacation in Dublin and taking in the sites of the old city with museums, street-life, and culture is an excellent idea.

After touring Dublin, many travelers head north towards Belfast, stopping along the way to look at the scenic Irish countryside.

Heading around to the west, travelers get to experience the wetter western side of Ireland, with its famous hillsides and steep terrain.

To the Southeast of Ireland, County Cork offers the Blarney Stone and some very famous castles that should most definitely not be missed, even in a short visit.

Ireland is a wonderful place to visit, and is an excellent spot to plan a short vacation.
