This is a place which you would not regret going to. First of all the city is called the holy city as it has great religious relevance for the Sikhs.

There is the golden temple, the most important shrine of the Sikhs in India. The temple, Harmandir Sahib, is very beautiful and it is surrounded by holy water which is called Sarover. The golden temple, as the name suggests is made up of gold and is very beautiful both from inside and outside.

Apart from the golden temple there is Jallianwala Bagh Park which is very near to the temple. It is in this park that the Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place and there are still bullet marks and blood strains on the wall.

Very close to the city is the Wagah border which separates India and Pakistan and a parade is held every day over there which is very fun filled and rises the patriotic feeling of being an Indian.
