India Tourism Destinations #1:
Vacation idea shared by Deepa, India - Dehradun is a very nice place to visit if you are planning to go on vacations this summer. Dehradun as you know is the capital city of Uttrakhand and is one of the most beautiful places in India.

The weather of Dehradun is very pleasant one as it never stays hot for more than 2-3 days because whenever the temperature rises, there is rain in the following days.

There are many India tourism destinations to visit like the Sahastradhara which has a small waterfall type water park and near to the park is one of the most beautiful Buddhist temple I have ever seen. Then there is IMA(Indian military academy)which is worth seeing as you get a proper patriotic feeling when you enter the complex and watch the Jawans perform their day to day activities.

Moreover Mussorrie is only a few kms from Dehradun approx. 30 kms I guess and the hill station is also a place which is worth watching if you are with your family and kids.I would definitely advice you to go to Dehradun this summer as you will escape the heat as well as enjoy one of the most beautiful state of our country.

India Tourism Destinations #2:
Contributed by Raj - Amritsar is the place I would advice you to visit, if you are planning a vacation. This is a place which you would not regret going to. First of all the city is called the holy city as it has great religious relevance for the Sikhs. There is the Amritsar Temple, the most important shrine of the Sikhs in India. The temple is very beautiful which is surrounded by holy water which is called Sarovar. The golden temple, as the name suggests is made up of gold and is very beautiful both from inside and outside.

Apart from the golden temple there is Jallianwala Bagh which is very near to the temple. It is in this park that the Jallianwala massacre took place and there are still bullet marks and blood strains on the wall.

Very close to the city is the Wagah border which separates India and Pakistan and a parade is done everyday over there which is very fun filled and raises the patriotic feeling of being an Indian in you.

And there is also a huge shopping market which is popular for clothes and dry fruits .So this is a place which you would not regret going to.

India Tourism Destinations #3:
Contributed by Narinder - Last December I visited Delhi with my wife and children's for a vacation. The city as you know is of great relevance to India and is a very big city. There were many places to visit and some were worth watching. We started our expedition within the city from the Red Fort, which is at chandni chowk.

The fort was very huge and beautiful and was maintained under very strict security. Then we went to see the India gate where a fire flame keeps on burning remembering the Jawans who were killed during the wars. There is also a zoo which had variety of animals which even me as well as my children have seen before. Then there is also the lotus temple the worship place of Bahai faith and the Aksardham temple of lord Ram of the Hindus.

There are also some sikh temples historical importance like the Rakabh ganj, Seesh ganj and the Bangla sahib. Apart from the places to visit we visited many shopping markets and found many cheap products which we never had thought about. Overall the trip was an enjoyable one which everyone enjoyed.

India Tourism Destinations #4:
Contributed by Rajbir - When I was in my 10th standard I went on an excursion to Darjeeling which is in the city of West Bengal, India. The trip was a really memorable one and I still have the memories of the trip with me. We went to the city on two school buses. On the way to our destination while we were on the bus, we sang songs, played games, stop by roadside restaurants for lunch and dinner.

All the things that I did with my friends still bring a smile to my face which I remember those moments. Darjeeling is a nice India tourism destinations and a very beautiful city which is a hill station surrounded by tea gardens. I have never seen such Huge and big tea gardens before. Apart from the tea garden we also visited tiger hills from where we saw the sun rising and I cannot describe in words how scenic view that was.

We also visited Nepal via Indo-Nepal border which the state shares with Nepal and did some shopping. Apart from all this there was also a place from where we took a timber train from which saw the tea gardens from above and the scene was mind blowing. The weather of the state was also very cool. This is also amongst my favorite vacation ideas where I have been to.

India Tourism Destinations #5:
Contributed by Rajbir - Last summer I, my brother and 3 of our friends went Jim Corbett National Park, India. The park is in the state of Uttrakhand in our Maruti car. The vacation is amongst one of the most memorable moment of my life.

We watched many beautiful places on the way to the park such as Haridwar, Rishikesh etc which were also worth watching. But the main fun came in when we reached the park and took the safari in the park. It was really an adventurous journey as we were on our own vehicle in the jungle where many wild animals lived. In the park we saw many elephants, dears and the drinking place of tiger.

In the beginning we could only see foot marks of tiger. During the entire trip we didn't spot a tiger for which the park is famous but as we were about to leave the park in the evening we saw a tiger which was relaxing on the road.

We did many things on the trip like playing at the rivers, sleeping on roadside etc. It was really a fun filled vacation trip which I cherish even till today.
