If you are planning a Chicago Illinois vacation don't miss the new Millennium Park. Located in downtown Chicago, this 24.5-acre, $450-million park is designed to showcase the city of Chicago to the world. The spectacular 120-foot high Jay Pritzker Pavilion is the home of the Grant Park Music Festival. Here is where you will find one of the world's largest outdoor sculptures .... and the Lurie Garden with a hardwood walkway through the 240 varieties of perennial plants and blossoming cherry trees.

Here are few more vacation ideas for Chicago. Lincoln Park Zoo is in downtown close to the "Miracle Mile". They have a great assortment of animals as well as zoological gardens. It's open all year round daily and is free admission. Also downtown is Shedd Aquarium. They've got a shark exhibit, an Amazon exhibit with giant turtles and poisonous frogs, a Carribean Reef exhibit and an Oceanarium where you can learn how they train and care for all the aquatic animals. At Adler Planetarium you can get an exciting peek at Black Holes and other interesting things out there in the universe.
