Golf Vacation in England Idea #1:
If you’re looking for a relaxing break with magnificent landscapes and enjoy playing a spot of golf, then a golfing holiday is just for you, and where else other than Great Britain, which is home to Scotland, the birth place of golf. When it comes to England, you can enjoy golf in many different towns. If you want to visit a top golf course then you should visit Royal Birkable Golf Club.

This great course is in Southport, Lancashire and is ranked the 7th top golf course in the world. The fairway is laid out as such, that the flat bottomed valleys between the dunes will stop the ball being thrown off course and the dunes are great viewing platforms for spectators.

The Royal Birkable course is also known as being very difficult to master, the greens were rebuilt back in 1998 but they are still very hard to read.

Southport has many other things to do, such as New Pleasureland. This is a great and affordable day out especially for the family or you could try the Lakeside Miniature Railway, which has been running for the last 95 years.

The Marine Way Bridge is another place to visit in Southport, this stunning new landmark that has dramatic flood lighting and links the seafront to the city centre.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Southport you could try the Stamford, which is a 4 star, top quality modern guest accommodation, or if you’re looking for something a little bigger then you can try the Seapark Apartments. These apartments are furnished to a high standard and are located next to Lord Street which has exclusive shops and lots of great restaurants.

Golf Vacation in England Idea #2:
Another great place for a golf vacation in England is the Trevose Golf & Country Club, in Padstow along the Cornwall coast. The charming crumpled fairways are lovely and wide, perfect for golf, and the rough is always kept short which helps to ease the speed of play and to prevent too many balls being lost. This is a course for the very best golfers as its very challenging.

If you’re looking for other activities then you won’t be disappointed as there are many to enjoy in Padstow. Why not try something different and go for a tour around the harbor; this is great fun and something the kids will love. If you’re looking for a place to eat you can always try Rick Stein’s infamous Seafood restaurant, or hire a boat and enjoy a sail down the estuary.

Padstow has many hotels mostly with sea views; this is great for watching the sunrise and sunset. If you want to try something different why not try renting a cottage. Wadebridge Rock has some great cottages and activities nearby such as, walking, water sports, bike riding and of course the beautiful views.

Golf Vacation in England Idea #3:
The course at Bovey Castle on Dartmouth National Park, in Devon, is set in the largest, wildest and most beautiful countryside in Southern England. So you can image what it would be like to play golf on. Devon is definitely quintessential England. It is truly beautiful and is in the list of top 100 course courses in the UK.

If you enjoy wildlife then Devon is perfect, you can meet and feed various animals at the Becky Falls Woodland Park and you can also go to Living Coasts to feed the penguins. Devon has some truly beautiful buildings, why not try staying at the Three Crowns Chagford, this is located in the prettiest and vibrant, most interesting small towns in Dartmoor.

Golf Vacation in England #4:
Scotland is the number one golfing destination in Europe for all golf lovers. A special favorite is St Andrews, which is a stunning medieval city and the home of golf. St. Andrews has one of the oldest golf courses in the world as it has been played here since the 15th century. There are many courses at St Andrews, such as Strathyrum, Jubilee, and the New and the old course. A lot of people describe this course as one of their favorites in the world and not many golf courses come close to it. St Andrews is also a popular golf tourist destination, especially because of the high density links and heathland around the area, there are also many other things to do with the family.

For some outdoor action head to "Blown Away". This mobile outdoor amusement offers beach based activities which include Beach Olympics, Beach Kayaking and many more. There are also many sites to see, why not visit Scotland’s largest and wonderful church, St Andrews Cathedral; you will witness great medieval and stone sculptures.

So there you have it, some of the best vacation ideas for your golf vacation in England. These are some of the best golf courses in the UK and a few of the many family activities available around the UK other than golf.
