By Mike from Wisconsin - If you are looking for a good vacation spot, look no further than the beautiful beaches and amenities which Sanibel Island, Florida has to offer. I took my vacation to Sanibel Island in March of 2010, and it took my breath away. I stayed at Casa Ybel Resort, and it was great.

In order to be able to stay here you need to look for an owner who is renting out their week in their unit. It really is pretty simple to do this and is much easier than becoming an owner.

Casa Ybel has everything you need; the condos are more like apartments than anything else and easily accommodate four or more guests. Sanibel Island is known for having one of the best shelling beaches in the world.

Casa Ybel boats an Olympic size swimming pool, kiddy pool, and hot tub. The pool deck is a great size and the beach bar and restaurant, "Coconuts", is open daily with a full service bar. The Thistle Lodge Restaurant is also located on the property.

The Island also has many different one-of-kind restaurants. If you are in the mood for Italian I would recommend Matzaluna's, if you are bringing the kids I would recommend the Bubble Room, and if you are in the mood for a romantic dinner I would recommend catching the sunset at the Green Flash on Captiva Island which is only a short drive away.

If you are in the mood for dancing I would recommend the Jacaranda. There are many more restaurants on the island but these were my favorite places. If you decide to take a vacation here you will be happy you did!

By Susie from Atlanta - I love to go to places like Saint George Island, Florida. The beach is my favorite place to go on vacation, and besides lying out in the sun, I have to find some fresh seafood. A fun thing to do if you are traveling with a large group is to have your own seafood cookout. There are places you can buy all kinds of freshly caught seafood.

On our last trip, we have a large group of people, including lots of small children, so going out to eat was not an easy option, so we went and bought lots of lobster, shrimp, crab and scallops and boiled some of it and grilled some of it. All the adults help with cooking and cleaning, and there is a feast for the evening, without expensive restaurant prices!
