(VI)

When visiting Jamaica, consider exploring Ocho Rios. The translated meaning is "eight rivers" and it is located in Saint Ann's parish. Once just a place for fishing, it is now a very busy tourist location. There are many different locations with attractions of golf, scuba diving and deep sea fishing. The places to visit include Discovery Bay, Fern Gully, The Ruins, Double V, Shaw Park Botanical Gardens, Dunn’s River, and Prospect Plantation. All of these locations offer many different activities.

Discovery Bay can offer lodgings. Fern Gully offers over 600 different fern varieties. The Ruins is a wonderful restaurant located at the base of a waterfall surrounded by a garden atmosphere. Double V offers tourists authentic jerk food and shopping. The Shaw Park Botanical Gardens features 25 acres of tropical plants and a river for the perfect pictures to take home with you. Dunn’s River is the most enjoyed attraction on the island, consisting of a river that goes down huge lime stones to a white sand beach.

Prospect Plantation is a working plantation. A tour of the school is also available. Ocho Rios offers so many different activities; Why not consider this your number one Jamaican destination!
