We went during the month of July and stayed at the Disney Caribbean Beach Resort. When planning a trip to Disney World it is beneficial to stay at a Disney hotel especially with a family.
The Disney hotels outside of the park provide bus transportation to all Disney parks and restaurants and the Disney hotels inside of the park provide shuttles to and from all Disney parks and hotels for free!
Two other great pointers are to purchase the meal plans and the park hopper pass.
This gives you the freedom to enter any of the Disney parks as many times as you desire and as many parks as you would like in one day.
The dining plan is also a big help as you do not have to spend extra money on meals. One word of advice however, is to book your reservations to the various Disney restaurants ahead of time as they fill up quickly.
Some of our favorite restaurants to eat at were: Yak & Yety (Animal Kingdom), The Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios and at one of the French restaurants in Epcot (if you prefer duck). Our hotel also had a very good food court with plenty of seating and great choices for kids from fruits and yogurt to chicken fingers.
The best park to visit for adults and children is Magic Kingdom filled with magical attractions (light shows and fireworks) and many Disney characters. Also be sure to see Animal Kingdom with the infamous Tree of Life and various wildlife, and Epcot filled with different cultures from all over the world. - Daniella from NJ
We arrived on June 7 and we stayed 6 nights at the La Quinta Inn and Suites on Jamaican Court off International drive. Our hotel was not very far at all from the Disney parks, so we were very thrilled. Walt Disney World is an amazing place. I simply think everyone must see it at some point in their lives, whether they are young or old!
On our first day, we went to probably the most well-known park, The Magic Kingdom. We spent all day there meeting our favorite Disney characters, riding the rides, eating the amazing food.
It was very packed that day, but we still really had a ton of fun! On our second day, we ventured to the second most well-known park and that is Epcot Center.
Originally, I had expected for the Magic Kingdom to be my favorite, but I must say Epcot turned out to be my top choice. We had so much fun traveling from country to country. The food was amazing there. Of course, I had to have a souvenir from each little stop along the day.
On day three, we headed over to the Animal Kingdom. I have to say this was my least favorite of the parks, but we still had a lot of food and saw a lot of really cool animals. Finally, on day four, we visited my son's favorite park, Hollywood Studios. The reason for it to be his favorite is that we happened to go during Star Wars Weekends and he is a huge Star Wars fan.
I’m not a big Star Wars fan, but I must say I really did have a lot of fun that day too. All in all this vacation is surely one that I will remember for the rest of my life! As soon as we got home to Kentucky, I immediately wanted to start planning our next Disney World family vacation. Hopefully we will get to go in next year! - Amy from Kentucky
