Couple Vacation Spots

Couple Vacation Spots #1:

By Tucker from Texas – A great place to go for couple vacation spots is Cancun, Mexico. I love how hot the weather is down there. It had the bluest ocean I have ever seen and really white sand. We had the most romantic and fun vacation there with my wife.

The hotel we stayed at was a big part of making it a great time. The service was great and we had armbands which meant we could get any food or drink anywhere in the hotel.

We enjoy outdoor activities together and it was fun going snorkeling. There are so many super snorkeling spots at the reefs.

They had all kinds of interesting shops in these open air markets. We had such fun just walking through them all and seeing what they sold.

We also got to go deep-sea fishing for the first time. It was good time together except for a little seasickness and sunburn. But that didn’t ruin the experience. We are planning another trip together to Cancun soon.

Couple Vacation Spots #2:

By Angela from Louisiana – My husband and I love to getaway to New Orleans. This is an amazing town to visit! The town gained fame and popularity for their Mardi Gras celebrations but this is just a fraction of what the city has to offer.

We love the historic Garden District where you can take a tour and see stately mansions and the above ground graveyards that the area is also famous for. The French Market offers fine dining, music and night life for those looking for after-hours entertainment.

A very romantic outing we enjoy is a cruise on the Mississippi River. Oh and a walk along the river walk is lovely. New Orleans is kind of our go-to place to vacation when we want to have some time off together.

There are a variety of hotels, bed and breakfast and rentals in the area making it very accessible and the public transportation system makes it easy to get around the town even without a vehicle.

By Jeanette from TN - My favorite place to vacation with my boyfriend is at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. The Gaylord Opryland Hotel is the largest hotel in the United States, outside of major Vegas casinos and it still amazes me that all of the magic takes place indoors. We typically spend the whole week just in the hotel. There is just so much to do and we wanted to spend time together.

Once you set foot inside, and the doors close behind you, you will feel as if you have stepped into a tropical rainforest complete with flourishing and lavish botanical gardens, tranquil waterways, and cascading waterfalls. You can even ride a delta flatboat that takes you on a scenic tour of the hotel and through the waterways.

One of the best parts is walking out onto your hotel room balcony (still being indoors keep in mind) and being able to overlook the waterfalls and gardens, and feel the mist of the water on your face. There are over fifteen restaurants to choose from, serving every style cuisine you can imagine. There are also spas, shopping, golf, and live shows.

It really is quite impossible to accurately convey the experience any other way than experiencing it firsthand. If the normal atmosphere itself wasn't enough to send us reeling, visiting during the Christmas holidays in the months of November, December, or January, and taking in the holiday decor and amazing festivities adds so much. For couples vacation ideas, I highly recommend the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee

Couple Vacation Spots #4:

By Judy from Hawaii - Hawaii is the most beautiful and romantic place to visit. We visited the island of Oahu for our anniversary. It is a comfortable 80 degrees year round, the beaches are warm and you can find a beach that is full of people or one that is quite solitary. One of the most beautiful places we visited was Nuuanu Pali Lookout. It’s so high with wonderful views.

This is mountain spot where King Kamehameha literally drove the intruders over the edge. It is quite a wonder with the view of nearly the whole island of Oahu and the sense of something big happening there. The kings bronze statue stands in Honolulu as a tribute to his victory.

We went there in January and the national surfer's contest was taking place on the North Shore. That was a fun thing for us to watch. The waves were as big as giant buildings. You really get a sense of the power of nature when you watch the waves swell and crest and wash ashore. We also went on some beautiful hikes that took us up a hill, through bamboo groves and natural bridges to a waterfall at the top. We enjoyed swimming under the waterfall.

The shows on the island are entertaining and full of music and movement. If you're lucky you'll get one of the funniest bus hosts as you travel to the luau on the east coast. Of course you have to visit the Dole pineapple factory.

You'd be surprised at how long it actually takes a pineapple to grow. And you can't miss the infamous blow hole. I went on a day right after it had rained and the surf was up a bit and the blow hole did not disappoint. It blew up past the heads of all those watching for it. It was quite thrilling.

I think one of the most things we did was rent a car so we could drive around the island and see for all the major attractions. We saw a vendor on the side of the rode and stopped to buy the most sweet, juicy mangoes and freshly picked papayas. We ate at the local restaurants along the drive. What an experience to visit with the real people, the ones who just live there every day.

Diamond Head volcano is amazing to see as you fly in. You can see it from above and can see right down into the expanse of it. One of the most humbling and serene places to go is to Pearl Harbor where the sunken remains of the Arizona and the men who were aboard were caught off guard by the attack of Japan in 1941.

Hawaii has a lot of history and the nationals who live there have a lot of pride in their heritage. They cater to your needs, provide entertainment and offer kindness and pride for you to enjoy. Overall Hawaii is just the most romantic vacation ideas for couples to spend quality time together.
