We also went to the Ripley’s museum. We got discount coupons from our hotel so it was a cheap and entertaining way to spend an afternoon. And we spent a lot of time at the beach.

We went early in the morning to collect seashells. We went in the afternoon to enjoy the sun and the surf. And we went to the beach at night to take a romantic stroll on the beach.

We enjoyed a free concert at McLean Park. We enjoyed this vacation very much without breaking our budget.

At Tahoe we rented two private homes to live in for the week we stayed there; and the homes were right on an inlet off the lake which made easy access to the water, yet away from the hustle and bustle.

The two homes were well maintained, inviting, and beautiful and within walking distance of each other, which was another plus.

The attractions available included boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, gambling at the casinos, bicycle riding, walking/jogging, and just relaxing in the sun. Activities included something for all ages, and our ages ranged from several months to 70+.

The weather was perfect while we were there and I think that is true most of the time. Some of our group flew into Reno and some of us drove. Those that drove were able to pick up those who flew in. The scenery around Lake Tahoe is breathtaking, and a drive around the lake takes several hours if you are interested.

The cost of this vacation was very reasonable--much cheaper than we ever expected. Our family has vacationed in Minnesota, Missouri, Kentucky, Colorado, Iowa, and Nevada. Our time at South Lake Tahoe was very special and one of our favorites and we would highly recommend it.

I was offered a wide variety of activities ranging from family-oriented to more "grown up" things. Within 10 miles of the rustic, yet comfortable lake cabin I stayed in was a Six Flags theme park, packed with roller coasters and other fantastic attractions.

If you seek refuge from the busy day-to-day, Lake George also features some quaint, peaceful places where you can take a rowboat out to small islands to relish the scenery and serenity of this gorgeous landscape. The lake itself is beautiful with its panoramic views and scenery.

Surrounding the lake you can find a variety of small businesses that offer reasonably priced boat and jet-ski rentals. This was a great choice for my outdoor fun-loving family. There is a small-town feel to the city on the outskirts of the lake, with great shopping, nightlife and tourist attractions.

Not only was my trip fun, but it was also educational with all of the historic sites to visit nearby. If you are looking for a well-rounded, perfect vacation for a family, or just a quiet, low-key weekend getaway for two, Lake George NY can provide endless entertainment and fun.

I would recommend this location to anyone for their next vacation ide. You will have great times and memories that won’t break the bank.

Also, I wanted to see the Grand Canyon, which is just a few hours away from The Strip. It's a marvel. It's worth going to Vegas just to see the Grand Canyon. The Freemont Experience was also awesome. It's an animated light show that's played downtown every night and is fun to watch. For anyone looking for cheap vacation trips, try Las Vegas. It's great to visit a city that is so lit up at night and has so much activity. There is something for everyone in this exciting city!
