Cheap Vacation in Wisconson State Parks
by Roger
(Wisconsin)
Our family is always looking for a way to have a cheap vacation. Wisconsin state parks are just the ticket. In the summer, we like to take the kids and tour as many national or state parks as possible.
On a two week vacation, we might make a game of it, beginning in the north of the state and driving southward to view a selection of different parks.
The kids have a great time swimming, hiking, and boating, and we're able to enjoy the varied scenery of our home state for an extended period of time.
For lunch, we bring a picnic basket filled with goodies, which is cheaper and healthier than eating restaurant food.
In some states, you can even buy a parks pass that allows you to get into parks for a reduced rate (and sometimes, it's even free!)
A park based vacation lets you save money while enjoying the great outdoors.
