Getting to the Columbia Icefields you travel 178 miles on Icefields Parkway through some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere. The drive itself is an adventure. Along the way you will most likely see some of the native wildlife like bighorn sheep, black bears, elks and mountain goats.

The West Edmonton Mall is a shopper's paradise with over 800 stores, restaurants and attractions. The kids will love the loads of adventure and fun at Galaxyland Amusement Park and World Waterpark. It's all part of the largest entertainment and shopping complex in the world.

But it is so worth it. On the other extreme, this is an excellent spot for bird-watching. Over 200 species of birds make their home here. Vedder Mountain provides plenty of trails for hikers and trekkers. In the winter the cross-country skiers enjoy the trails.
