Back Roads of Vermont

Here’s a summer vacation idea for the un-ambitious. Let’s say you’ve ended up in upstate New Hampshire, Vermont or New York and you’ve finished your planned stops.
Just get in your car and head for the most Northern point in Vermont. Then drive South on the smallest two lane roads you can find. The only rule is “take your time”. You’ll see quaint farm houses, picture perfect landscape, an covered bridges. Small local shops will beckon, lunch at a local café will be just great and don’t forget to take lots of memory photos.
The slower pace of this trip will be a sharp contrast with the usual hustle and bustle trips that you usually take. My wife and I do this regularly all over the USA but we think Vermont is the best. Post script: Doing this trip South to North gives just about equal satisfaction.
